On the morning of Thursday, April 25, 2024 students set up an encampment known as the "Northwestern Liberated Zone" to call for and end to the genocide in Gaza and to pressure the Northwestern administration to agree to the People's Resolution. The resolution asks the University to:

1. Protect student civil liberties and safety

2. End partnerships the legitimize genocide and occupation.

3. Disclose and diverst from war and apartheid.
